When filmmaker Roni Avni saw my poster for “HA’HORSHOT PARK” from the “Secret Parks” series on a Facebook group, she felt my style was a perfect fit for her project. She approached me to design a poster for her film “Wild City“.
Roni wanted an illustration that was pastoral and pleasant, even nostalgic, depicting wild boars against the backdrop of Haifa’s landscape.
For the poster, I focused on creating an image that would evoke a sense of harmony and nostalgia. The wild boars, often perceived as nuisances, were illustrated in a soft, endearing manner against the serene hills of Haifa.
The idea was to highlight the natural beauty and peaceful coexistence between humans and animals, despite the underlying tensions.
The movie participated in the 2024 Docaviv festival and will be broadcast on channel HOT8.
Creative Workflow
We kicked off with a meeting to align expectations and refine the brief, where Roni provided all the necessary text and references.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I started with a rough concept, integrating title placement, illustrations, and composition.
We experimented with various fonts and typography styles to better echo Roni’s vision.
